22 May 2008 INTERCONTINENTAL TASHKENT
Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan
The state has been and remains the main reformer of the national insurance market. Focus is placed on the advanced development of insurance legislation and creation of the legal framework for the efficient reforms in this sector.
Thanks to the systematic approach to the insurance market reform, it has been developing dynamically and the volume of insurance operations has been growing constantly. At the same time insurance companies are gaining an increasingly significant role in the economy of the country.
Meanwhile, it is important to mention that the insurance market development efficiency is determined by a number of factors, particularly the trust of the business entities in the insurance companies. Trust directly depends on the ease of clients' access to the most complete information on the activity of insurance companies, and the sufficiency of the information is determined by the transparency of these institutions. The higher the transparency the more accurately the business entities can estimate the risk inherent in the relations with insurance companies.
On 22 May during the Insurance Business in Uzbekistan: Condition, Prospects and Media Coverage Forum the first of its kind "Insurance Business in Uzbekistan" Analytical Guide was presented.
The uniqueness of the analytical guide is in the fact that it contains complex analytical analysis of the insurance sector, the review of the legislative and normative acts regulating the insurance activity, and full reference information on the insurance companies operating on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The purpose of the guide is to elucidate the situation in the contemporary insurance market of Uzbekistan and the activity of the professional market participants, assist further development of the insurance market of Uzbekistan through popularization of insurance, and raise the image of the domestic insurance services market not only in the country, but also abroad.
The information contained in the publication will be particularly helpful and interesting to the consumers of insurance services, both local and foreign, potential investors planning to work with this sphere, banks, leasing companies, enterprises and organizations searching for reliable insurance partners, graduate students and academic staff of universities, the management and staff of insurance companies, and many other concerned parties.
