IV Tashkent International Banking Forum on "The banking system of the Republic of Uzbekistan: current state and trends, new challenges and solutions" is taking place in the capital from November 25 to 29, 2015.

The organizer of the event is “SAIPRO Information-rating agency” with the official support of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the forum is to discuss the status, challenges and priorities of the international banking system, development trends of modern banking and financial services; to familiarize with the investment opportunities of Uzbekistan's economy and participation of domestic commercial banks in attracting foreign investments, as well as in the economic development of the country; to exchange experiences between participants of the banking and financial markets, taking into account the study of international practice; to establish and strengthen links between national and foreign representatives of the banking business, as well as with representatives of the infrastructure of the banking system.

The forum will be attended by over 200 representatives of ministries and departments, banks, auditors and financial institutions, universities, international rating organizations from more than 10 countries.

Registration of participants took place on November 25 this year, and the main events of the forum will be held on November 26-27, which include breakout sessions on the current state and trends of the banking sector, the Banking Supervision, the role of banks in the development of small business and private entrepreneurship, as well as a seminar by “Fitch Ratings” rating agency on the theme "The Banking Sector of Uzbekistan: strengthening external pressure" and "round table" by “Grant Thornton” auditing company on the theme: "Corporate Governance: Practice and Experience". Business meetings will also take place which provide an opportunity to representatives of the banking and financial sector to negotiate and expand opportunities for cooperation.

On November 28 foreign guests of the forum will visit Samarkand, where they will get acquainted with the sights of the ancient city.
