International Insurance Forum

Intercontinental Tashkent hotel hosts a regular 3rd Tashkent International Insurance Forum TIIF-2010, organized by SAIPRO information rating agency.

The general partner of the forum is insurance company Kapital Sug’urta, sponsored by the insurance companies Agro Invest Sug’urta, Alskom, Asko-Vostok, Kafil Sug’urta and and other companies.

Information assistance is provided by such public and media organization such as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, MEDIA XPRIMM (Romania), Media-Information Group Insurance Today (Russia), Agency Insurance News (Russia), Business Format group (Russia), Forinsurer.com electronic journal (Ukraine).

The forum is attended by top managers of foreign and national insurance, reinsurance, brokers and other organizations, representatives of ministries and departments, nongovernmental and public organizations, heads of foreign insurance market regulators, national and international associations, banks, investment and auditing firms.

Also, the forum welcomes representatives of international financial institutions like the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Asian Development Bank and others.

Among the forum participants there are representatives of insurance business from more than 16 countries, including Uzbekistan, Britain, Morocco, Austria, France, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Slovenia. In general, the forum will be attended by some 200 top managers and insurance experts.

During the two-day event, participants will discuss the status and priority areas of insurance and reinsurance business in the domestic and foreign markets, current state of international reinsurance markets and challenges facing international reinsurance businesses, learn about potential investment opportunities in the region.

According to organizers, the forum contributes to strengthening of ties between members of the international insurance community, serves as a platform for interactive communication between representatives of foreign and national insurers, providing an effective exchange of experience in maximum use of the potential of international markets.

On the second day of the event there will be an award ceremony for winners of “Oltin Soyabon” (Golden Umbrella), which is a public prize awarded annually for achievements in the development of the insurance market of the country.
